The Kentuckiana Cancer Research Foundation awards grants that align and aid in advancement of the Mission and Vision of the Foundation.

Grantee Spotlight:

Navigating the complexity of healthcare delivery is becoming ever more complex as US healthcare evolves and technology plays an ever-greater role.  One of the efforts of KCRF has been to support the development of Oncology Social Work program at the Kent School of the University of Louisville.

Oncology social workers are uniquely trained to help patients and their families cope with the physical, emotional, and social disruptions of cancer. These professionals can improve the immediate and long-term effects of cancer by addressing psychosocial needs that medical professionals often do not have time to prioritize.

The Foundation awards grants that align and aid in advancement of the Mission and Vision of the Foundation.

The Mission of KCRF is to assist in the conquest of cancer through support of education, prevention and  development of innovative treatment options while emphasizing efforts to preserve quality of life for cancer patients and families throughout Kentuckiana.

The Forward Vision of KCRF:  as health-care delivery evolves in the United States and new directions in cancer diagnosis and treatment are developed, KCRF is to remain on the forefront of these events, furnishing support for novel research endeavors, providing education to healthcare providers and enhancing support to patients in Kentuckiana.
