Kentuckiana Cancer Research Foundation (KCRF) is pleased to announce the recipients of its second annual scholarship program.  This scholarship program exemplifies our commitment to fostering education and supporting outstanding individuals pursuing a career in cancer care. Following careful consideration and a rigorous selection process, four remarkable individuals were chosen from a large pool of applicants.  Recipients were selected based on their academic performance, extracurricular activities, leadership ability and financial need.

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Criteria & Application Procedure

The Kentuckiana Cancer Research Foundation Scholarship Program awards scholarships to area students who are currently enrolled, or beginning their education, and considering a career in a cancer-related field.  Awards may be used for tuition, books, and room and board expenses.  Each individual may only receive one scholarship.  Recipients will receive the scholarship in one disbursement.  Each recipient must present a copy of his or her class schedule before said scholarship funds are released.

 

Selection Criteria

The selection of the scholarship recipients is based on several criteria, including academic performance, leadership ability, references, essay, personal interview (if requested) and financial need.

 

To be eligible, you must:

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited University or Community College in Kentucky or Indiana on September 1, 2025.
  • Have a minimum overall GPA of 3.4.
  • Be a resident of Kentucky or Indiana.
  • Considering a Cancer Related Field.

 

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

  • Completed Scholarship Application and essay questions.
  • A certified copy of your academic transcript.
  • One letter of support from a faculty member or mentor.

 

Applications Accepted:  March 1, 2026 – April 15, 2026
Awarded:  July 2026
Scholarships Awarded:   Up to $7,500
