Any cancer journey is rarely a party of one. That is why KCRF is dedicated to putting cancer patients, families and caregivers in touch with the resources, education and inspiration they need to move forward with hope. We also work to provide access to local resources and to support local community cancer programs.
ADVOCACY
through continued cancer research
KCRF seeks to provide professional and financial support for clinical, translational and basic cancer research in the Kentuckiana area, fostering the development of innovative cancer diagnostics and therapies. We also work to provide cancer education to healthcare providers as well as the general population. In addition, KCRF advocates and supports access to local clinical trials for cancer patients in Kentuckiana.
VOLUNTEERISM
a commitment of one, a commitment to all
Taking time and giving of self to help the cancer patient on their life path is an essential component of their care. KCRF encourages and facilitates volunteerism through assisting in a hospital, contributing in a science lab, driving a patient to a physician visit and more. Small steps lead to great strides.
EDUCATE
patients, the community-at-large and healthcare providers
KCRF helps to fund and sponsor educational programs for the community as well as healthcare professionals. KCRF also supports advances in cancer care through a healthcare provider scholarship program.
